Operating since 1976, we offer treatment services and residential care for boys, ages 6 to 15 years. We have two homes (6 beds each) located in residential neighborhoods in Davis, California. The boys are eligible to attend local public schools.

 

Our Executive Director, Wendi Counta, a long-time Davis resident, has over twenty years of experience working with children. Her educational background is in Human Services management. She has been at Progress Ranch since 2012.

We are a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization.

License and financial support

Progress Ranch is a nonprofit public benefit, 501(c) agency providing residential treatment services for the emotionally-troubled child. We are licensed by the State of California Department of Social Services, Community Care Licensing Division.

Children are placed by social service case workers from Yolo and other regional counties. Residential care is paid from government funds according to rates set by the State of California.
